Top designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Issey Miyake pay tribute to the beauty and tribal exhuberence of Africa while showcasing their Summer 2009 collections. The empahsis on the postive aspects of Africa rather than its conflict zones is a welcome respite. As always the home market takes it cue from what's happening on the catwalks. We wait and see if the REAL AFRICA rather than a contrived factory produced psuedo-African look made in the Far East makes it to our high streets. No prizes for guessing the outcome!
